No hiding place for MAPs in AI future
I recently had an interesting—and disquieting—experience on Instagram thanks to its new-ish AI system designed to detect alleged instances of “child exploitation” across its multitude of channels. This is something that should concern all MAPs, as well as everyone who uses social forums like Instagram and TikTok to advance certain business models. In fact, it may constitute an eventual game-changer for MAPs in society, but not without a lot of chaos and challenges for us prior to that.
THE PERILS OF ADMIRING YOUTHFUL BEAUTY
As all who have known me in the MAP community (and real life) are aware, I have always been a fully law-abiding MAP. I try hard to be a good and generous person to everyone I know, but fall short at times due to the natural human imperfections we all possess. My apologies to all who have had to deal with my more difficult side.
I have chosen to be open to varying degrees about my attractions (which are largely hebephilic) to others, but I do not trumpet the info, especially not with those I have been acquainted with for too short a time to get to know and trust me as a person. I generally steer clear of all interactions with underaged youths (I am attracted to girls only), particularly in one-on-one situations, to avoid finger-pointing or unwarranted accusations or assumptions. I am well aware of how deeply the hatred and fear of MAPs remains in our society, and I never underestimate that fact and the potential dangers it places me in.
So, like most law-abiding MAPs, I am forced to admire girls from afar only, and in entirely legal fashion. That means eschewing even the consideration of seeking illegal CP and instead consigning myself to entirely audio-visual admiration of girls that appear in a plethora of modelling and dance videos, and sometimes personal channels, on commonly viewed social media forums. Parents and professional companies moderate and control these channels in almost all cases, and there is a lucrative market for girls modelling dance and other outfits for companies in pictorial sets or vids commonly referred to by the girls as “try-on hauls”. But some girls commonly upload such vids to YouTube themselves.
As an admirer of girls’ beauty and personalities alike, I have looked at such legal pics and vids that you often come across on these channels even when you are not searching for them specifically. Like all viewers, I have at times “liked” some of them and added some to a “favourites” folder included on your account. I never send DMs or leave comments, salacious or otherwise (the majority of the former often being left by trolls rather than actual MAPs). I make sure to choose a screen name and avatar that is nondescript and does not make my age or appearance clear so that I do not in any way disturb the moderation team or girls promoted within, and so as to remain a respectful, non-troublesome “face in the crowd”.
One would think that means I am not an issue. But the AI system installed to replace the human “paedo hunters” on Instagram has apparently decided otherwise. My account was recently suspended for simply looking at various common and entirely legal modelling, dance, and personal channels there featuring girls, and doing nothing more than “liking” some of the pics and vids or adding them to my “favourites”.
Yes, you read that right. The automatic notice I received explained that “our technology has determined that you violated our community standards against child exploitation”. Huh? And another automated notice said, “Our technology has determined that you may have come across and seen child pornography,” and left me a confidential number to call some counsellor to talk about it. Huh?! WTF?!
How broadly, exactly, are they defining “child pornography” and “child exploitation” these days? Are they implying this is based not on the images themselves but what I may have been thinking while viewing entirely legal and very common pics and vids you find all over these social forums?
Since the great majority of MAPs are law-abiding and confine the expression of their attractions to private admiration of the beauty and attractiveness of youth from afar, this was all I had and all I ever actually did. And… there is now technology designed to detect and thwart that? The hatred has gone so far that surveillance and “prevention” has increased to this extent?
WHAT IT ALL MEANS – SO BE PREPARED
Here is something my recent experience with the AI-driven “paedo hunting” of Instagram has made clear for the future of MAPs. I think an interesting crossroads is coming up for the MAP community.
With the current moral panic against the ever-broadening conception of “child exploitation” and adults who find under-agers attractive still at an all-time high, combined with the rapid advancement of AI “detection” algorithms, we’re soon going to reach a point where it becomes virtually impossible for any MAP to hide our attraction status from public detection. And also to steer clear of technology-driven censure simply for the crime of looking and having forbidden thoughts regarding legal and commonly available imagery. Unless one stays completely off the grid, so to speak.
If you look at certain perfectly legal and commonly uploaded pics and vids on any social media forum – Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter/X, you name it – the system’s AI algorithms will sniff you out and collect data on you based on your viewing habits, your “likes” and “favourites” of certain pics or vids, your level of re-watch, etc.
The system will know, and then the human administration will know. And in short order, the government will know, since they’re now fully in bed with tech corporations. You’ll be further tracked from there, and you’ll be integrated into an official database where most MAPs across the world (or, at least living in the WEIRD part of the world) will be listed.
And since all data is now being collected on all citizens by big tech companies like Palantir, you’ll be cross-referenced between all these forums and every other place online that you frequent. Soon your entire social circle, your job, your main places of product purchase, etc., will be easily available to government agencies, NGOs, merchants whom you do business with, and employers. You will also possibly be reported to law enforcement agents for monitoring and “pre-crime” deterrence procedures. You can easily be blackmailed due to the extreme dangers of being “outed” as someone attracted to underaged youths in the current climate, including public shaming. And ample “character evidence” will be available for everyone to toss at you, from political opponents to employment agencies to law enforcement looking for targets.
It will now become almost impossible to “hide in plain sight” any longer, because our digital shadow will enable the corporate and government tech alliance to find us all out.
So, the days of no one save for perhaps a few trusted people with whom you share this ultra-sensitive info about yourself will be over. This will constitute a revolution of sorts for both our community and for society as a whole to reckon with.
WHAT MAY BE THE END RESULT?
Let’s look on the plus side to the coming full disclosure of MAPs in WEIRD society via advances in AI technology. Yes, there may actually be one.
At first, this mass technological detection will be promoted as a way of identifying “child predators” – or those who are “potentially” so – and lauded as a safety screen for underaged youths (who are still without anything resembling a voice in society). The public will, of course, eat it up… at least initially. “Now we’re gonna know who all the predators are!” some politician or MAP-hating vigilante will proclaim.
But here is what they are not considering: This revelation will also make clear how many MAPs in society there actually are, how many of them hold important positions, and how many are known as good people.
And how many of them have no criminal records and are law-abiding despite looking at pics and having thoughts that society is conditioned to find “creepy” and potentially “dangerous”.
It will also bring to attention the fact that those seeking to promote the personal brands of (largely) girl models, dancers, and influencers – including many of the parents and companies who help promote them – are quite aware of how attractive youths, particularly young girls, happen to be and how much this helps sell fashion and self-care products, not to mention one’s personal brand.
They promote this in an “open but hidden” fashion, which garners them a lot of much-needed views. This in turn is something which the algorithms pick up on and add for further promotion to more eyes of interest. However, they will now soon be seeing a large segment of their viewing audience paying a huge price for helping this business model along with their mass number of views and “likes”.
Will there be a public outcry to eliminate such channels entirely, or place them fully under the regulation of some law-enforcing government agency? What will that do for the business model, or the type of control that parents usually want above and beyond the government? Will parents and companies who promote these channels for profit via popular clothing and self-care lines be vilified for using imagery that effectively sells and promotes?
It will also make clear to the general public how many people they love, trust, and respect are MAPs that are attracted to underaged youths. People who have saved the lives of many, who have always been there for them through thick and thin, who have earned their trust in many ways; and most importantly, whom they know for a fact are not sociopathic monsters that have ever harmed a kid or lack the self-control to remain law-abiding.
How much can you continue hating MAPs and seeing their natural (and unasked for) attractions as constituting an evil character flaw or depraved sickness when they are your beloved and respected parent, or sibling, or lover, or best friend; or doctor or firefighter who saved the life of you or a loved one?
Or that good-natured neighbour you’ve known and respected your entire life? Or that teacher who provided you with words of wisdom that got you through life’s travails without ever having tried to use or exploit you in any way?
What happens then? Will this algorithm-driven revelation technology backfire in the end? Will it inadvertently serve to compel MAPs forced into public view and scrutiny to develop a loud voice for themselves? How will youths who happen to be mesophiles (attracted to the middle-aged)* react to this?
And will those outside the MAP community who love, respect, and trust us be forced to drop their silence or their own (often performance-driven) indulgence in MAP-bashing?
What will the now devastated youth liberation movement do in reaction to this, especially since the fear of MAPs caused the moderates among their ranks to all but torpedo the movement?
Let us see how this all plays out once almost everyone who happens to be a MAP becomes as well known in the near future as vanilla LGBTQs are today.
Scary – but doubtless interesting – times lay ahead.
* In the study of micro-organisms such as bacteria , a mesophile is an organism that grows best in moderate temperatures. This term is not new. As applied to humans, though, mesophilia is a very recent addition to the lexicon, having first appeared in “The Puzzle of Male Chronophilias“, a paper by psychologist Michael C. Seto published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior in 2016. Seto uses the term to describe people of any age, including youth, whose sexual attraction is focused on middle-aged persons. The word is derived from the Greek root mesos, meaning intermediate. Seto says in the paper that the existence and relative prevalence of mesophilia are hinted at by the popularity of the MILF (for “Moms I’d Like to Fuck”) genre in pornography, and by the existence also of DILF porn. Many would be horrified by the idea that some minors are especially attracted to middle-aged people, which probably accounts for the paucity of research into mesophilia: it may be seen as just too hot to handle. The term is new but there is no reason to believe the phenomenon is: some youngsters have probably always been turned on by older people.

THEY ALL LOVE ‘GROOMING GANGS’
So “grooming gangs” are back in the headlines. We may loathe the sexual negativity baked into the construct, to say nothing of the racism typically entailed; but as a cliché much beloved by the hacks, the pols, and the rioting classes, it ain’t going away anytime soon.
Not even with the world exploding into lethal nightly firework displays over cities from Kiev to Tehran (obscuring the dozens of Palestinians still being killed almost daily in Gaza) was the topic forgotten onboard British prime minister Keir Starmer’s flight to the G7 summit in Alberta, Canada, when he was asked by the media whether he would be reversing his decision earlier this year not to order a new national inquiry.
Well, of course he would. Ever willing to be led by populist sentiment, rather than to show real leadership, he obligingly gave them the U-turn they wanted. There would be an inquiry after all, he said, which he anticipated would be recommended in a report (now published) by Baroness Louise Casey.
A down-page item such as this is not the place to set out Heretic TOC’s view in any detail. What I will point to, though, is a blog from way back in 2013 which went quite deeply into the matter in ways which are still relevant and factually applicable today. For now, I will just emphasise that violently imposed or coerced sex are obviously criminal no matter what the age of the victim, whatever the race or religion of the perpetrator, and whether the context is individual or gang related, whether it is street crime or within the family, or whether churches, schools, sports clubs, etc. are involved or not. Whatever. It is right that all such cases are subject to prosecution.
What should not be tolerated (but there are strong suspicions it has been) are scenarios in which a particular race or religion is given a free pass to offend by police, local councils, social workers and others, for fear that firm action would risk stirring up “community tensions”. All that turning a blind eye to such offences achieves is to stoke up justified resentment and potentially riotous unrest in those identifying with other communities, while leaving victims without justice.
I will just add that I see from a news item “hot off the press”, as I write, that one of Casey’s main recommendations looks particularly significant, and not in a good way. This concerns younger teenagers aged 13-15.
According to Casey, too many cases relating to this age range are being dropped or downgraded from rape to lesser charges. This has occurred, she says, where a 13 to 15-year-old had been perceived to be “in love with” or “had consented to” sex with the perpetrator. Even in these cases, she says, adults who intentionally have penetrative sex with a child under 16 should receive mandatory rape charges.
But why? Presumably, the evidence in such cases would be that they had not been raped. This is an excessively authoritarian move that does teenagers no service at all, being one of numerous ways in which they are being increasingly infantilised, denied all opportunity for autonomy and experiences they can truly call their own.
WILL THE MADNESS REGISTER WITH THEIR LORDSHIPS?
Meanwhile, in a quieter but potentially far more oppressive development for MAPs, the Crime and Policing Bill has been grinding its way through the parliamentary process.
As Brian Ribbon pointed out in the Comments space here back in March, the Bill as drafted at that time included a new imposition on registered sex offenders (RSOs). They will be required to notify at least 12 hours in advance if they propose to enter premises at which children are present.
On the face of it, this could be an extremely onerous measure if it meant, for instance, having to give advance notice before going shopping at a supermarket, where children are often present, usually with their parents. Likewise, kids are to be found in almost any public premises, from libraries to leisure centres, pubs, cafes, doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries, hospitals, hairdressers, and all sorts of shops. Is it seriously proposed that RSOs must give 12 hours’ notice before going into any of them?
Unfortunately, it is still hard to say. Nothing in the Bill, which has now passed through the House of Commons committee stage, appears to limit the requirement to certain types of premises, such as schools, or children’s homes. All that is said in the Bill as amended up to this point is that the “qualifying premises” in question will be those of a kind specified in regulations made by “the appropriate authority”, a term that refers basically to the government.
Brian told us he was seeking clarification as to what these regulations are going to be, but I am not aware of any elucidation so far. Maybe their lordships will inquire further, when the Bill reaches them after the report stage in the Commons this week. Or maybe not. In that eventuality, it will be interesting to see the police struggling with all the paperwork as they quickly become deluged with thousands upon thousands of notifications to assess on a daily – nay, hourly – basis.

Originally a resident of the state of New York, Joseph Smith had been hauled into court on numerous occasions, accused of confidence games and charged with fraud. In one 1826 New York proceeding, he was described as “a disorderly person and an impostor.” Later he would become known for his bedding of pubescent teenagers, which led to his institution of polygamy following the revelation from God — only to Smith did He speak — that all Mormon men, especially Smith, should have multiple wives. (Today he would be charged as a serial child molester.) When the Mormons headed west and settled in Missouri and Illinois in the 1830s and 1840s, growing numbers of the chosen ones took to heart the conniving model of their spiritual father and became known for land thefts, bank frauds and cattle rustling. Idealistic converts started to look askance at their adopted religion. Smith’s personal secretary concluded that Smith and his fellow church fathers were “confirmed Infidels, who have not the fear of God before their eyes. They lie by revelation, swindle by revelation, cheat and defraud by revelation.” Lying was considered a holy duty, a command of the scriptures, justified exactly in the way lying to protect rapist priests was justified in the papal hierarchy to protect the interests of the Catholic Church. An early official historian of Mormonism who later repudiated the Saints accused its leadership of “selfishness, seeking for riches, honor and dominion, tyrannizing over the people, and striving constantly after power and property.” What the Latter-day Saints really wanted, as with any cult, was the property and cash of converts along with their free labor.
When a mob in Illinois murdered Joseph Smith in 1844, Mormons turned to a new leader, Brigham Young. A smart and ambitious member of Smith’s inner circle, Young lacked the prophet’s charm and charisma, but had been a close study of his mentor’s command and control techniques while legitimizing and expanding the institution of polygamy. (Brigham’s gaggle of wives expanded to number in the dozens — BRING ’EM YOUNG, they called him.) Ruling as “the only law-giver and law-maker on earth,” Young carried his people on their exodus into the sun-blasted wilderness of Utah, in the valley of the Great Salt Lake at the edge of the Wasatch Mountains, where Salt Lake City stands today. Has everyone seen that Jeffrey Epstein is back in the news? Specifically, the so-called “client list” which we are now told never existed?
The Epstein conspiracy is one of the most ridiculous, clear examples of moral panic I’ve ever seen. Without any evidence whatsoever, hordes or randomers online started confidently pronouncing that there must be some massive cover-up, and that Jeffrey – a man at the time facing down a second legal battle and potentially decades of jail time – was killed rather than killed himself. And even if he was killed, how do you know it’s some ploy to protect the rich and powerful, and not just regular old “nonce” / “pedo” bashing which is apparently so common in American prisons?
When it comes to Jeffrey, rarely if ever does anyone discuss specifics. We’ll hear things like: “He trafficked and raped girls.” Okay, how old were these “girls”, because in my research I’ve found 14 to be the youngest age? Media constantly calls him a “pedophile,” but where are the pre-pubescent children? Nowhere to be found!
By “trafficking,” do they mean he paid for Colombian cartels to throw poor slave children into a shipping container to be delivered to him, or do they mean simply that someone crossed a border? (oh no, the horror)!
People make spurious connections because Jeffrey, as a very well-connected man, met tons of people who’ve also been convicted for crimes involving minors, such as Larry Nassar or Jean-Luc Brunel. Even though their crimes aren’t relevant to having know Jeffrey!

Ok here’s one: liberals not conservatives brought about the blanket restrictions on adult-child sex, and shifted the paradigm such that the systemic structure of the World Order allowed no possibility, even amongst the most staunch conservative, for adult-child sex to enter political discourse.
Blackstone’s Commentaries in the mid-eighteenth century controversially stated that ‘sex with a girl under 10 is rape, per se’. It was a liberal swoop on the rights of men and children to enjoy adult-child sex uninhibited by the law.
Much of this has been deliberately lost from the historical record, to cover their tracks.
In a system of patriarchalism, adult-child sex with children as young as you like is broadly permitted, as a cornerstone of more traditional societies.
Lockean liberal democracy had to abrogate and exorcise adult-child sex, because adult-child sex is fundamentally incompatible with the control of the citizen, because the citizenry in charge of themselves are an unpredictable and unstable force with undesirable elements, and obviously have to be much more tightly regulated. Hence Robert Peel’s need for the institution of a national Police force, which did not exist before.
Adult-child sex is a deeply patriarchal, conservative right!!

Detailed studies of childhood as a topic in history has not been with us for very long, which is what made Centuries of Childhood, by Philippe Ariès, such a pioneering sensation in 1960. The research is still fairly thin. Broadly speaking, though, I think we may be confident it is right to assert that childhood “innocence” and exclusion from the word of adult sexuality were not the obsessive themes in custom and law that they have become in recent times.
But that does not mean state “control of the citizen” is an invention of modern liberal democracy, as per your remarks about Locke and Peel. It’s just that the focus of concern and control was different. There was always plenty of state violence available for terrorising the masses into conformity with the will of the ruler, long before the invention of formal police forces, which began to deal with miscreants “by the book” rather than the crude old methods of outright torture, chopping off heads, burning to death, etc.

The age of consent in the UK evolved from 12 in the pre-printing press 13th century to The Offences Against the Person Act 1875 raised it to 13 in Great Britain and Ireland, and then to 16 in mass newsprint 1885 following a fake media panic by trash tabloid pioneer William Stead. The Criminal Law Amendment Act 1885 established the age of 16. This act also introduced a higher penalty for offences against girls under 13. The 20th Century high point for low/no AOC was the SeXy ’70s. In March 1976, the National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), called for an equal age of consent of 14, or 10, in Britain.[22] The submission to the Criminal Law Revision Committee generated extensive newspaper coverage. While the report recognized the merits of abolishing the age of consent, it proposed retaining a prohibition on sex under the age of 14 “as a compromise with public attitudes”,[23] stating that “although it is both logical and consistent with modern knowledge about child development, to suggest that the age of consent should be abolished, we fear that, given the present state of public attitudes on this topic, it will not be politically possible to abolish the age of consent”.[24]
They also argued that “childhood sexual experiences, willingly engaged in, with an adult result in no identifiable damage” and suggested that more harm was caused when the children retold their experiences in court or to the press. The submission was signed by Harriet Harman, who was a legal officer for the NCCL at the time before becoming an MP in 1982.[25] Harman denies ever supporting the age of consent being lowered to 10, and claimed that right-wing newspapers the Daily Mail and The Telegraph had tried to make her “guilty by association” with fringe groups that had previously been connected to the NCCL.[22]
Although he does not favour total abolition, Francis Bennion, a British liberal humanist also influenced by the historical context of the issue, emphasised the fact that children are “sexual beings”, concluding that this in itself makes legal prohibitions unfair.[27] Miranda Sawyer, British journalist specialised in music and youth culture, suggested that “we have sexual feelings from a very early age”, considering that sex is “natural behaviour”. She favoured lowering the age of consent to 12 in the UK while labeling the criminalisation of sexual activity under the age of 16 as “laughably unrealistic”.[28]

Nice of you to write a list of the least intelligent lifeforms in the uk. I can see where the americans come from in terms if self defence (but sadly sex felons arent allowed to defend themselves from loons). If accused of such crimes we should at the very least be allowed tasers. Guns? No way, with the fruitcakes in this country it will be a bloodbath. Actually we should move somewhere with sane people… Would love to know what these vigilantes think of their imprisonment…. Sadly it probably wont be enough punishment.

Hi, Prue. First, please allow me to address the reason behind the Trans backlash you mentioned. This will be long enough, so this is going to be my sole post here for today. As for your main question, I’ll address that as a separate post tomorrow or the next day.
You can thank the liberals/SJWs for the backlash against Trans people you now see in some WEIRD countries, particularly the United States. For the past ten years, the liberals pushed a very strong agenda which instead of simply asking to respect the legal rights and personal dignity of Trans people and accept them as human beings, they instead tried heavily pushing the lifestyle and imagery, including efforts to push “trans” and “non-binary” ideology on elementary school kids, whom I respect as full people but who are nevertheless captive audiences to authoritarian adult figures and at the mercy of not only the curricula they impose, but also their socio-political ideology. Autistic people of all ages were particularly hit hard by this push, with estimates of almost 30% of young people claiming to identify as “trans” or “non-binary” as of 2022.
Not only that, but along with white people, males, and heterosexuality being openly and brazenly demonized by SJWs was the idea of cis-genderism, insisting that biological sex was a social construct and all of us were on a “spectrum”.
This ideology also pervaded every aspect of the entertainment industry, with comic book companies and even many publishers of prose books hiring numerous trans or non-binary people of liberal ideology (those who did not espouse this mindset were not hired) simply because they were trans or non-binary and carrying that specific agenda, and regardless of talent. Many of them routinely attacked cis-gendered and heterosexual fans on social media, causing a huge issue for these industries.
This attitude also infiltrated the world of advertising, with Anheuser-Busch infamously hiring trans TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney to push that agenda for their traditionally cis-hetero-male-centric beer products. This was because the execs, like the publishing companies and their parent corporations such as Disney and Warner Bros-Discovery, were bullied into accepting DEI requirements by multi-billion dollar companies like BlackRock and Vanguard so they would continue having access to the invaluable credit these companies offered. That went as badly as you might expect, and when the company’s campaign proved seriously unpopular and financially costly, the execs then turned on Mulvaney. Many questioned whether she was genuinely “Trans” or trend-influenced, because the latter was a quick way to popularity in the liberal-dominated social media landscape between 2016 and around 2023.

Not only that, but drag queens were being invited to have book readings and dance performances in elementary schools to push this agenda further.
Also pervaded was the medical industry, with many of this ideology in the field pushing “gender affirming” policies for middle and high school youths. This meant that the decades-old medical protocols that people were required to fulfill in order to get medically objective valuation from doctors and therapists to use pharmaceutical products to influence the development of their biologically based secondary sex characteristics and surgical procedures to alter genitalia to more resemble the anatomy of the gender the person identified with, was no longer in effect. Hence, doctors and therapists were pressured into simply taking a young person’s word for it without any objective medical or therapeutic scrutiny, and anyone protesting this were accused of being “transphobic”.
Hence, these youths were unquestioningly prescribed risky, experimental, and non-reversible puberty blocking drugs along with allowing gender-reassigning surgery without fully assessing whether a genuine case of gender dysphoria was present. These procedures are all by definition experimental in people who are biologically young for a variety of reasons. Moreover, many who wanted to identify as “non-binary” were having surgical procedures done to remove any overt characteristics of either gender, with several having their nipples removed and showing this off on videos uploaded all over TikTok.
Youths and autistic people, displaying a record degree of emotional issues and problems with identity due to the manifold problems presented by the economic breakdown of WEIRD societies,were heavily influenced via social pressure and emotionally persuasive liberal ideology to presume their confusion over identity and other emotional or intellectual issues were due to being assigned the “wrong” sex at birth and thus adopting a “trans” or “non-binary” identity, often suddenly and unexpectedly.
This also resulted in numerous biologically male athletes being allowed to perform on women’s teams in sports, biological men who identified as women being unquestionably allowed into women’s bathrooms and dressing rooms, and biological male criminals claiming to identify as women being placed into women’s prisons (many instances of sexual assault and even impregnation of biologically female inmates were reported as a result, including from a female friend of mine who had been incarcerated for two years with such female-identifying men). Kamala Harris, during her ill-fated run as the DEI plant of the Democrats, also vowed if elected to spend billions of dollars to provide biologically male prisoners who identify as women with gender-reaffirming surgery while still incarcerated.
This also set up conflicts between members of the vanilla gay community and the trans community, who were now always expected to share space in political circles due to the ideology of “intersectionality” and being combined in the Acronym Alphabet. Many of the former did not agree that their needs and experiences fully coincided with that of the trans folks, whom many felt had distinct needs and experiences. Moreover, many cis-gendered lesbians felt pressured into accepting biologically males identifying as women as romantic partners. The same was true in many cases with straight cis-gendered men, as we were expected to consider them real women in an intrinsic, biological sense and ignore their blatantly male anatomy.
This was pushed to the point where restaurant chains traditionally catering to male heterosexual tastes like Hooter’s were pressured into accepting very obvious trans men as waitresses and the predominantly heterosexual male patrons were expected to act as if they were as “hot” as their biologically female co-workers.
And need I get into the nightmare of the pronoun phenomena? Where we were all expected to memorize numerous pronouns that non-binary folks chose for themselves, with new ones popping up all the time (xir, they, sh/he, etc) and to always make it clear which gender one identified as in their social media profiles. Some WEIRD nations enforced this heavily, including via legal penalties if one didn’t adhere to acknowledging this in corporate or university environments, or even on social media (I believe Canada was one of them).
Partly but largely as a result of this pushy liberal agenda, huge numbers of Americans voted against the Democrats, resulting in a landslide Republican victory and a second Trump administration. While many applauded him promptly doing away with DEI policies, as one may have expected many in the far right overreached with this into authentic instances of transphobia. That is wrong, but so was what the liberals did, because their agenda of pushing transgenderism and non-binary concepts up our noses and down our throats potentially sabotaged the good progressive progress that the trans community had made.in the preceding decades.

This was very much a theme of my February blog, “The world dances to Trump’s tune”. There was some scepticism here about the electoral impact but, along with more obvious economic factors, the pushy woke aspect of the Democrat agenda is now widely accepted as having played a major part.

Well, Transgender politics provides a great avenue to focus on cultural issues rather than economic ones, and to make “the Left” look crazy. It’s a brilliant topic to sow division, confusion, and a conspiracy “slippery slope” mindset.
The Left, sectarian as always, had to scramble to decide whether to adopt liberal tolerance discourse and Transness as an important issue, and risked being called a “class reductionist” if they avoided the topic.
In broad terms, no one likes being told what to do, especially if the demand appears unreasonable and contrary to your perception of reality. I.e. being expected to call what appears to you as a fat man a “woman.”

Canada’s Bill C-16 did not in-fact proscribe speech, forcing citizens to use ‘correct’ pronouns or face jail time. That was how Jordan Peterson (wrongly) interpreted it, being catapulted to conservative media stardom off the back of his laudable fears that free speech was being eroded. (Which on social media is arguably an accurate perception of reality).
Trans surgeries on minors are extremely rare. It’s fear about them that’s widespread. What’s less rare is non surgical intervention: i.e. hormone treatments or puberty blockers.
I looked up about Hooters. Some “pro” articles about happy (conventionally attractive) Trans worker, and some negative or “anti” in the Right-wing press, where non-conventionally attractive Trans was not hired by Hooters and tried to sue the company.

I think you are so confused that you are conflating normality (prevalence) with some sort of moral obligation. Suppressing desire and even sexual practices is not natural either. While being strongly attracted to one’s own sex is not prevalent in the general population, many men experience some degree of attraction to the same sex.
What is “ugly” supposed to mean? It’s kind of tautological to say that people don’t find “ugly” people attractive. You may not see it as normal, but some men do have a strong attraction to males with lots of body hair. I’ve met one such gay man, so I know it’s possible. Might not be common, but it’s possible.
The suggestion that MAPs can reach a state of acceptance by joining in with LGBTQ bashing, seems false on the face of it imo. There is nothing to thank the LGBTQI+ movement for, they have never done anything in favour of boylovers, quite the opposite, from their expulsion from ILGA in 1994 to their complicit silence in the face of the numerous injustices, violence and repression suffered by boylovers and girllovers. Well, after talking about the book here I realised that one of its authors, Jesús Generelo, was president of the FELGTBI+ (Federación Estatal de Lesbianas, Gays, Trans, Trans, Bisexuales, Intersexuales y más) of Spain between 2015 and 2018. It should be remembered that, in 2015, the conservatives of the Popular Party raised the age of consent in Spain from 13 to 16, which has led to many people being unjustly arrested and imprisoned for having consensual relationships with minors under the age of 16, relationships that until 2015 were legal and occurred without any negative consequences for the minors who desired and consented to them. Well, all gay rights associations in Spain, including the FELGTB+, remained completely silent during the farcical debate (farcical because neither paedophiles nor, of course, the minors themselves were given a voice) prior to the 2015 legislative change. Also Jesús Generelo, who as co-author of “Mi primera vez” must necessarily have known how unfair the law change was and how much suffering it was going to generate in many homosexuals, both adults and minors.

The government spent millions to advance this “gay imperialism” under the guise of supporting “human rights.”
The morphing of gay liberation into LGBTQetc. reflects at once a growing social acceptance of nonhetero lifestyles and a retreat from a struggle to liberate the repressed sexuality of everyone in favor of accommodation with the heterodominant, capitalist system. It downplays issues of social justice in favor of seeking rights for identities acceptable to the dominant society. It elevates political expediency and opportunism over scientific and historical accuracy. It represents the triumph of conventionality, conformism, and conservatism over ambiguity, creativity, and radical individuality. It is a form of Newspeak in the service of ideological rigidity and the status quo.
An alternative approach might involve a coalition around a specific shared goal of everyone who agrees with it, including straights. But it’s probably too late for that. If LGBTQ is here to stay, we’re not any better off for it.

The Canadian academic Hannah Dyer gets a bad rap online for her article “Queer futurity and childhood innocence: Beyond the injury of development.”
In it, she states that “Applying queer methods of analysis to studies of childhood can help to queer the rhetoric of innocence that constrains all children.”
This has been perceived by James Lindsay, and therefore many conservatives and normies he serves to enter into the radicalization pipeline, as evidence of academia’s dangerous plot to “normalize the Ps”.
Of course nothing could be further from the truth, it’s just that ‘the evidence’ and a modicum of critical thinking leads to heretical conclusions. I’ve not read Hannah’s article, but notice she’s also got a book along the same lines, The Queer Aesthetics of Childhood: Asymmetries of Innocence and the Cultural Politics of Child Development (2020, Rutgers University Press).
Perhaps some here’ll be interested in her work.
I see James Lindsay did a two and a half hour podcast on Dyer’s “queer futurity” ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OQL1Jja3p4 ) which perhaps flatteringly exaggerates her influence. The paper does have 73 citations, which is a lot, but the overall readership would probably not be great.
Lindsay, by contrast, has a pretty big following and support ranging from right-wing Christian evangelists to heavyweight academics such as Steven Pinker.

It seems obvious to me that pre-adolescent children feel sexual desire in, at the very least, a qualitatively comparable way to the adult (even if not quantitatively comparable).
But this means that children themselves are massive losers from society because a basic need is being unmet and heavily suppressed. Children’s rights are therefore being fundamentally neglected.
A massive (perhaps intentional?) intellectual blunder in sexual development is that puberty is somehow a magical switching on of the sexual drive. Principally, Frits Bernard and Edward Brongersma, and the group Frits founded “Enklave Kring” (meaning Enclave or Enclave Circle in full). I’m thinking this would be the first dedicated MAP or Pedo organization in history, at least with an overtly “pro-pedophile” bent as distinct from the historic dominance of pederasty in homophile groups.
There’s also the NVSH which was founded in 1946, but I am not sure when their “pedophilia workgroup” was formed, and most activity to do with MAPs seems to have taken place in the 70s or later, with their “children’s liberation” group founded in the 1980s for example. Again, modern MAP discourse kicks off in a big way during the 1970s.

I don’t want to downgrade Tom’s importance, but there’s a distorted over-focusing on him as someone who “led” PIE, when in reality PIE had been led by Kieth Hose before he joined. As I understand it, Tom was inspired by him and worked with him closely. Tom may be the most persistently public facing member of PIE, so it’s understandable that the media focuses on him, but it’s not historically accurate.
PIE had an executive committee. Lots of other people played dedicated roles, and their contributions should not be obscured.
Keith Hose was indeed the key figure in PIE. He preceded me as Chair of the Executive Committee, although even he was not the organisation’s founder. Peter Righton, director of education at the National Institute of Social Work, was the committee member with the most significant public position. But I as a non-MAP have no hatred of MAPs – and I know there are many others’ like me who feel that Age Apartheid has gone too far, but are too afraid to say anything publicly anywhere. Most people don’t actually care that much about the topic besides the social and potentially financial gains they get by performing as an Anti, by falling in line and accepting dominant discourse.
Right-wing media pundit Charlie Kirk recently said in a Jubilee debate that, if he were alive in the past where “child marriage” was normal, he’d personally kill those “pedophiles” himself with his bare hands. There’s obviously nothing wrong with child marriage conceptually or philosophically, as in one adult taking up guardianship responsibilities in loco parentis. Combined with the philosophy and practice of arranged marriage, which I believe to be correct, it is easy to see how parents could place their child with a ‘vetted’, trustworthy adult in a spousal form of guardianship.

Oh, some of them certainly are actual MAPs making unwise and doing a “hornypost.” That is why I made a point to say “often” rather than “usually” or “always.” In fact, I’ve had my share of dispites on GC and elsewhere with MAPs who do this and insist there is nothing wrong with it because “normies” do it on vids or pics of adults they are attracted to, so why shouldn’t we be able to? And a few of my fellow mods have agreed with them over me, I should mention, because they believe expectations of self-restricting behavior is “sanitizing” us. To me, I see it as simply exhibiting a sense of decorum and respect during a sensitive political climate for us and showing that we can display self-control. These are usually MAPs who are against activism, thinking our situation is hopeless, so why not let us have some fun? Because it makes things a lot worse for us, that’s why.
However, I do think more often than not it’s trolls doing this because are notorious for doing such things, and they enjoy baiting the pedo-haters/hunters because they rarely get as much of a rise out of people as they do that lot. Thus, trolls tend to operate everywhere MAPs are, posing as both MAPs themselves and anti-MAPs to get a rise out of the MAP-haters and MAPs themselves.

For starters, I think we need more organizations like B4U-ACT and Medal that declare a stance of neutrality on the more controversial issues that are emotionally voltile to the public but which scholarship tends to objectively denounce, so it can provide an opportunity for pro-choice, anti-contact, and fence-sitting MAPs to work together without antipathy. But they need to maintain that neutrality firmly rather than compromising it by catering to the anti-contacts out of fear of potential reprisals by the researchers who contribute, as B4U-ACT does; and avoid the liberal “intersectionality” trap as Medal does, since we all know that identity politics greatly alienates anyone who is not a liberal.

Do many of us have to come out in the bold way you suggested? Yes, I think so, because I’ve always maintained that MAPs made a huge (if understandable) tactical error by going into mass hiding when the political climate started going rabidly against us in the early 1980s. Part of the fault is the liberals of that era, whom you could once see being more open-minded and in open dialogue with MAPs and youth liberationists, do a 180 and become extremely conservative where child and teen sexuality, along with the legitimacy of their overall civil rights and autonomy, were concerned. They all went into retreat, and the consequences are still severe and show few overt signs of yielding four decades later.
But too many people feel they have too much to lose,or simply do not want to deal with the relentless attacks and hatred, especially if they come out only to find that just a few others have also done so. Being such a lone voice in a hostile crowd can be emotionally taxing and dangerous.
A bunch of brave souls have to come together and work together to form such orgs. Too many of us are operating more or less independently, talking on obscure public forums. Tom’s blog is a step in the right direction, and a brave voice in the wilderness, but we need more such blogs of MAPs, mesophiles, and non-MAP supporters of both.
And in the future, we need a youth liberation movement that does not try to embrace the anti-MAP mentality in a misguided attempt to placate both public sentiment and their own ingrained “ick factor”. This paper found that 28.6% of high-functioning autistic males reported having had sexual fantasies about female children, and 3.6% reported sexual fantasies about male children. In stark contrast, none of the healthy controls (HCs) or female autistic participants reported sexual fantasies involving children of either sex.
I find it hard to believe that 0% of ordinary people have ever had sexual fantasies about children. Older studies found that 18-21% of college students admit to having had sexual fantasies involving children. Autistic individuals are less attached to social norms and taboos, so it’s plausible that they may be more willing to admit to taboo fantasies that others are reluctant to acknowledge—especially now that such taboos have become deeply entrenched in society.
I haven’t been able to find statistics on whether autistic males are overrepresented among those convicted of CP possession, but anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that this may be the case.

Here I broaden out the discussion to not just MAPs per se but ANY adult who feels a degree of attraction to children, however they identify sexually or socially. Remember the Daily Mail said there are about 850,000 such men in the UK.

Yet interestingly, with the prejudices against even legal age gap relationships being so high in WEIRD culture nowadays, all middle-aged people are expected to find other middle-aged people, and only them, to be attractive, both sexually and as a prospective romantic partner. For someone with a chrono-centric attraction base like myself, however, that just doesn’t work for me on any level. In fact, from my POV I can’t even understand how anyone can find a middle-aged woman to be attractive in a sexual sense, nor do I find anything attractive in them from an emotional or social standpoint. Overall, the fear is completely disproportionate to reality. Forcible rape of a young child by a predatory stranger is thankfully extremely rare; it’s a media construction and monster image divorced from reality for the most part. I don’t think that people whose chronophilia is inferred by algorithms will be outed publicly. On social networks, they will be automatically banned for spurious reasons like violation of “community rules” (or of “child safety rules”). On the other hand, States and their security agencies always have made secret files concerning people deemed suspect on the basis of various criteria (political advocacy, religious radicalism, sexual behaviour, etc.). These files are used in the case of an investigation concerning a crime or a suspected security risk in some circumstances. Computer resources like AI will then allow these agencies to obtain bigger and better files with less manpower.
With more people arbitrarily suspected, you will get more people scandalised by these practices. They won’t accept being deemed a “threat to child safety” for their appreciation of child beauty, in the same way that they find scandalous being accused of “antisemitism” or “pro-terrorist propaganda” on the basis of their anti-war activism.
Flipped script? Scrap the Anglo Victorian AOC – install a Global AOD – Age of Dissent at any age.

The ubiquity of AI disturbs me enormously, and my behaviour has changed as a result, including using my phone less and less. That is is now being used to identify those who may like/admire/etc children and adolescents drives me to despair.Fortunately AI cannot look at my bookshelf as yet, with its array of books by Gabriel Marcia Maquez (spelling?), LLosa, Duras, and more. (Though I am sure that someone is keeping a track of the books I purchase online. Hmmm.)
Interestingly, to me, I distinguish between the attractions of looking and the attractions of sexuality, i.e., I have enjoyed looking at people, irrespective of whether I find them sexually attractive, for y entire life. Most people I look at do not attract me sexually, but aesthetically, this I suspect being the result of my lifetime viewing of art throughout history. What this means is that I would be caught in the AI definition of paedophilia that identified Master Dissident, even though I would not touch most of the people I enjoy looking at with 20 barge poles linked together.
But the process of broadening our “definitions” of paedophilia (MAPs) is an ongoing process which needs to be fought against. (Just as psychiatry with its ongoing broadening of mental illness, on purely subjective and moralistic grounds, needs to be fought against.)

You are right, Matt, that DSM rejected a proposal for hebephilia to be listed as a separate disorder. All it means, though, is that DSM continues to classify as paedophiles not just those who are attracted to prepubescent children but also those who prefer early adolescents. And who wants to be classified as a paedo? As we all know, this long ago became the most stigmatising label of all.

Moderation algorithms, whether AI or not, use superficial trigger mechanisms, so they often give bizarre results. I have already denounced on my blog how an ethnographic photograph of nude Amazon Indian tribeswomen was reported as “child porn” by a so-called “child protection” organisation, leading to the website carrying that photo being blocked by the domain provider.
More recently, uploading on YouTube two Russian videos of a little girl dancing ballet in her room, the first one passed, while the second one was immediately blocked for violating so-called child safety rules. The difference between the two, apart the music, was her clothing: only a ballet leotard in the one that passed, but a blouse on top of that leotard in the one blocked. The two videos were posted on Flickr without problem…
On VK, nude paintings of children by known artists are not censored (provided that the profile does not contain only that), but (clothed) little girls licking an ice cream provoke a trigger warning, especially if the girls demonstratively show that they like it or if their tongue pulls out too long. Such photographs can be flagged as problematic, or silently disappear from your collection.
Whether with algorithms of human intervention, moderation uses flimsy justifications for censorship; “we don’t like that” becomes “violation of community rules” and “nudity” becomes “pornography”. Posting, among other artworks, nude paintings of girls by famous artist like Dorothea Tanning (famous surrealist), Allan Douglas Davidson, Ricardo Gomez Campuzano (Colombia’s national celebrity), etc., found on valid art sites, leads to banning because “We do not permit animated, drawn or simulated CSAM on mastodon.social.” and “Reason: Legal”. At the same time, the images remained in their servers for 30 days; if they were illegal, they would have been removed immediately!

Regarding the social media platforms, let’s not be naive. They already know for sure what you say, and they will not make public any figures or statistics about that.
Sorry for being pessimistic, but I struggle to see positive things in that social media control. The only stopper repression has is our courage to overcome shame and speak out.
Unfortunately, the Home Office didn’t reply to my e-mail. I think they want to leave the restrictions as vague and open-ended as possible at this stage. That provides less fuel for contention and debate, and it makes the law easier for them to abuse.

The weirdest thing about indicting underagers for “sexting” is that they can be both a perpetrator and a victim of a crime at the same time. They can “victimize” themselves and another underager in the course of this. “Grooming gang” discourse seems to be exploding in the UK right now, hand-in-hand with rising racial tensions and hatred towards percieved foreigners.
Baroness Casey has just published the “National Audit on Group-based Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse” (2025), following PM and former Prosecutor Kier Starmer’s pledge to launch a full national statutory inquiry into “grooming gangs.”
She recommends, among other things, a “mandatory rape charge” for legal adults who have sexual contact with a “child” under 16.
She also recommends the compulsory gathering of ethicity data in alleged “grooming gang” cases, which I have no problem with.
In response to the report, UK Home Secretary issued an official apology to “grooming gang victims” in parliament. Media is using the language of “survivors,” as if these former young people’s lives were in any way at risk by having sex. (At least, I hope they weren’t! That’d be some pretty dangerous sex!!)
The term “Paedophile” (British English) is used uncritically in media reports, without any meaningful attempt to discern the accused’s sexual preference. Specifics of the age or sexual maturity of the younger party are absent and buried under the rubric “grooming gang,” nor is it made clear whether force / violence was present.
Would be interesting to look over / listen to the report. See Baroness Casey’s framing, see what “grooming gang” cases she examines (if any) and whose voices and perspective she includes.
